R. 2597 IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES April 2, 2025 Mrs. Hinson introduced the following bill; which was referred to the Committee on Oversight and Government Reform A BILL To codify Executive Order 14249 (relating to protecting America’s bank account against fraud, waste, and abuse). 1. Short title This Act may be cited as the Protecting American Taxpayers from Wasteful Spending Act . 2. Codification of Executive Order 14249, relating to protecting America’s bank account against fraud, waste, and abuse Executive Order 14249 (90 Fed. Reg. 14011; relating to protecting America’s bank account against fraud, waste, and abuse, signed March 25, 2025), shall have the force and effect of law.
