II 118th CONGRESS 1st Session S. 990 IN THE SENATE OF THE UNITED STATES March 27, 2023 Mr. Daines introduced the following bill; which was read twice and referred to the Committee on Armed Services A BILL To require the Commander of the North American Aerospace Defense Command to conduct a gap analysis of the capabilities of the North American Aerospace Defense Command. 1. Gap analysis of North American Aerospace Defense Command capabilities (a) In general The Commander of the North American Aerospace Defense Command shall conduct a gap analysis of the capabilities of the North American Aerospace Defense Command, including an analysis of any limitation that has been or may be exploited by a foreign country to allow 1 or more air assets of the foreign country to enter the airspace of the United States or Canada unnoticed. (b) Report Not later than 90 days after the date of the enactment of this Act, the Commander of the North American Aerospace Defense Command shall submit to the Committees on Armed Services of the Senate and the House of Representatives a report on the results of the gap analysis conducted under subsection (a).
