II 119th CONGRESS 1st Session S. 2740 IN THE SENATE OF THE UNITED STATES September 9, 2025 Mr. Husted (for himself, Ms. Blunt Rochester , and Mr. Cassidy ) introduced the following bill; which was read twice and referred to the Committee on Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions A BILL To amend the Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965 to encourage States to develop academic standards for elementary school and secondary school for artificial intelligence and other emerging technologies. 1. Short title This Act may be cited as the Recommending Artificial Intelligence Standards in Education Act of 2025 or the RAISE Act of 2025 . 2. Academic standards for artificial intelligence and technology education Section 1111(b)(1)(C) of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965 ( 20 U.S.C. 6311(b)(1)(C) ) is amended by inserting , including standards for artificial intelligence and other emerging technologies after by the State .
