Short title This Act may be cited as the Endangered Species Recovery Act of 2025 . 2. Renaming of the Endangered Species Act of 1973 to the Endangered Species Recovery Act (a) Renaming The first section of the Endangered Species Act of 1973 ( 16 U.S.C. 1531 note; Public Law 93–205 ) is amended by striking may be cited as the Endangered Species Act of 1973 and inserting may be cited as the Endangered Species Recovery Act . (b) References Any reference in a law, map, regulation, document, paper, or other record of the United States to the Endangered Species Act of 1973 shall be deemed to be a reference to the Endangered Species Recovery Act .
