Whereas, on June 27, 2025, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) announced a new pilot program through which CMS will contract with for-profit companies to utilize enhanced technologies , such as artificial intelligence, to evaluate whether certain services should be covered by Medicare: Now, therefore, be it That it is the sense of the House of Representatives that the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services should not utilize artificial intelligence to determine whether patients’ procedures will be covered by Medicare.
