Russell National School Lunch Act to lower the minimum identified student percentage for universal meal service in high poverty areas to 25 percent, and for other purposes. 1. Short title This Act may be cited as the Feed Hungry Kids Act . 2. Identified student percentage Section 11(a)(1)(F)(viii) of the Richard B. Russell National School Lunch Act ( 42 U.S.C. 1759a(a)(1)(F)(viii) ) is amended— (1) in subclause (II), by striking For and inserting In accordance with subclause (III), for ; and (2) by adding at the end the following: (III) Full implementation after July 1, 2025 For each school year beginning on or after July 1, 2025, the threshold shall be 25 percent. .
