Short title This Act may be cited as the Safe Prescribing Through Reporting Act of 2025 . 2. Disclosure of certain records relating to substance use disorder medications to State prescription drug monitoring programs Section 543(b)(2) of the Public Health Service Act ( 42 U.S.C. 290dd–2(b)(2) ) is amended by adding at the end the following: (E) To the applicable prescription drug monitoring program of a State if— (i) such record relates to the prescribing or dispensing of a substance use disorder medication; and (ii) such disclosure is required by applicable State law. .
