Short title This Act may be cited as the Safeguarding American Property Act of 2025 . 2. Detention of certain criminal aliens who commit certain property crimes Section 236(c) of the Immigration and Nationality Act ( 8 U.S.C. 1226(c) ) is amended— (1) in paragraph (1)(E)(ii), by inserting trespassing, vandalism, arson, before burglary ; and (2) in paragraph (2), by striking and serious bodily injury and inserting serious bodily injury , trespassing , vandalism , and arson .
