Short title This Act may be cited as the Voter Eligibility Verification Act of 2025 . 2. Prompt release of information Section 642(c) of the Illegal Immigration Reform and Immigrant Responsibility Act of 1996 ( 8 U.S.C. 1373(c) ) is amended by inserting after by providing the requested verification or status information the following: , including by providing immigration status of an individual on a list of potential voters, when requested to do so by the Attorney General of a State or the Secretary of State of a State within 15 days of receiving such a request .
