II 119th CONGRESS 1st Session S. 893 IN THE SENATE OF THE UNITED STATES March 6, 2025 Mr. Padilla (for himself, Mr. Markey , Mr. Sanders , Mr. Blumenthal , Ms. Warren , and Mr. Wyden ) introduced the following bill; which was read twice and referred to the Committee on Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions A BILL To amend the Fair Labor Standards Act of 1938 to remove the overtime wages exemption for certain employees, and for other purposes. 1. Short title This Act may be cited as the Guaranteeing Overtime for Truckers Act . 2. Amendment to the Fair Labor Standards Act of 1938 Section 13(b)(1) of the Fair Labor Standards Act of 1938 ( 29 U.S.C. 213(b)(1) ) is repealed.
