II 119th CONGRESS 2d Session S. 4283 IN THE SENATE OF THE UNITED STATES April 14, 2026 Ms. Baldwin (for herself and Ms. Collins ) introduced the following bill; which was read twice and referred to the Committee on Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions A BILL To amend the Public Health Service Act to reauthorize a public health and bio-preparedness workforce loan repayment program. 1. Short title This Act may be cited as the Public Health and Bio-Preparedness Workforce Loan Repayment Reauthorization Act of 2026 . 2. Reauthorization of Public Health and Bio-Preparedness Workforce Loan Repayment Program Section 776(i) of the Public Health Service Act ( 42 U.S.C. 295f–1(i) ) is amended by striking fiscal years 2023 through 2025 and inserting fiscal years 2027 through 2031 .
