U.S. House of Representatives 2025-03-06 text/xml EN Pursuant to Title 17 Section 105 of the United States Code, this file is not subject to copyright protection and is in the public domain. IV 119th CONGRESS 1st Session H. RES. 201 IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES March 6, 2025 Mr. Ogles submitted the following resolution; which was referred to the Committee on Ethics RESOLUTION Removing certain Members from standing committees of the House of Representatives. Whereas clause I of rule XXIII of the Rules of the House of Representatives provides, A Member, Delegate, Resident Commissioner, officer, or employee of the House shall behave at all times in a manner that shall reflect creditably on the House. ; and Whereas several Representatives should be removed from their committee assignments in light of conduct they exhibited on the floor of the House on March 6, 2025: Now, therefore, be it That not later than one week following the passage of this resolution, the Sergeant at Arms of the House of Representatives shall provide a determination as to which Members ignored the Speaker’s directive to leave the Well of the House on March 6, 2025, and those individuals shall, upon submission of that list to the Speaker, be removed from any standing committee on which they currently serve for the remainder of the 119th Congress.
