R. 8209 IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES April 6, 2026 Mr. Tonko (for himself, Mr. Balderson , and Mr. Bergman ) introduced the following bill; which was referred to the Committee on Energy and Commerce A BILL To amend the Public Health Service Act to reauthorize the school-based health centers grant program. 1. Reauthorization of school-based health centers grant program Section 399Z–1(m) of the Public Health Service Act ( 42 U.S.C. 280h–5(m) ) is amended by striking such sums as may be necessary for each of the fiscal years 2022 through 2026 and inserting $55,000,000 for each of fiscal years 2027 through 2031 .
