I 119th CONGRESS 1st Session H. R. 6344 IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES December 1, 2025 Mr. Torres of New York introduced the following bill; which was referred to the Committee on Financial Services A BILL To require the Secretary of Housing and Urban Development to require public housing agencies to disclose contracts entered into, and for other purposes. 1. Short title This Act may be cited as the Contracting Accountability and Transparency Act or the CAT Act . 2. Disclosure required The Secretary of Housing and Urban Development shall, not later than 1 year after the date of the enactment of this Act, require each public housing agencies to publicly disclose, on the website of the public housing agency, with respect to each contract entered into by such public housing agency the following information— (1) all material information about the contract, including the goods and service provided; (2) the vendor; (3) the date of the solicitation of the contract; (4) the bids and quotes solicited; and (5) the official who solicited the contract.
