I 119th CONGRESS 1st Session H. R. 622 IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES January 22, 2025 Mr. Kelly of Mississippi introduced the following bill; which was referred to the Committee on Agriculture A BILL To amend the Food Security Act of 1985 to increase funding for the conservation stewardship program, and for other purposes. 1. Annual funding Section 1241(a)(3)(B) of the Food Security Act of 1985 ( 16 U.S.C. 3841(a)(3)(B) ) is amended to read as follows: (B) for the conservation stewardship program under subchapter B of that chapter, $1,800,000,000 for each of fiscal years 2025 through 2031. . 2. Transfer of funds $5,020,000,000 of the unobligated balances of amount appropriated or otherwise made available under section 21001 of Public Law 117–169 (commonly referred to ask the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022) is hereby transferred to the Secretary of Agriculture to carry out, using the facilities and authorities of the Commodity Credit Corporation, the conservation stewardship program under subchapter B of chapter 4 of subtitle D of title XII of the Food Security Act of 1985 ( 16 U.S.C. 3839aa–21 et seq. ).
