119 HR 5460 IH: Freedom from Regulatory Enforcement and Evaluation of Speech Policies to Ensure Editorial Choice Holds Act of 2025 U.S. House of Representatives 2025-09-18 text/xml EN Pursuant to Title 17 Section 105 of the United States Code, this file is not subject to copyright protection and is in the public domain. I 119th CONGRESS 1st Session H. R. 5460 IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES September 18, 2025 Ms. Crockett introduced the following bill; which was referred to the Committee on Energy and Commerce A BILL To prohibit the Federal Communications Commission from requiring any entity regulated by the Commission to align the speech of such entity with the political ideology of any presidential administration, and for other purposes. 1. Short title This Act may be cited as the Freedom from Regulatory Enforcement and Evaluation of Speech Policies to Ensure Editorial Choice Holds Act of 2025 or the FREE SPEECH Act of 2025 . 2. Prohibition The Federal Communications Commission may not require any entity regulated by the Commission to align the speech of such entity with the political ideology of any presidential administration, including through any rule or order issued by the Commission or as a condition of granting approval for a merger or acquisition or any other approval required by the Commission.
