R. 5391 IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES September 16, 2025 Mr. Deluzio (for himself and Mr. Garbarino ) introduced the following bill; which was referred to the Committee on the Judiciary A BILL To increase the Federal share of the Patrick Leahy Bulletproof Vest Partnership Grant Program. 1. Short title This Act may be cited as the Bipartisan Bulletproof Vest Partnership Program Expansion Act . 2. Increase in grant share Section 2501 of the Omnibus Crime Control and Safe Streets Act of 1968 ( 34 U.S.C. 10531 ) is amended— (1) in subsection (f)(1)— (A) in subparagraph (A), by striking 50 percent and inserting 60 percent ; and (B) in subparagraph (B), by striking 50 percent and inserting 60 percent ; and (2) by striking subsection (h) and inserting the following: (h) Authorization of appropriations There is authorized to be appropriated $60,000,000 for each of fiscal years 2026 through 2030 to carry out this part. .
