R. 5088 IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES September 2, 2025 Ms. Lee of Pennsylvania (for herself, Mr. McGovern , Mrs. McIver , Ms. Ocasio-Cortez , Mr. Thanedar , Ms. Tlaib , and Ms. Wilson of Florida ) introduced the following bill; which was referred to the Committee on Education and Workforce A BILL To repeal section 504 of the Labor-Management Reporting and Disclosure Act of 1959 in order to permit certain persons to hold offices in labor organizations. 1. Short title This Act may be cited as the Union Participation for All Act . 2. Repeal of prohibition against certain persons holding offices in labor organizations (a) In general Section 504 of the Labor-Management Reporting and Disclosure Act of 1959 ( 29 U.S.C. 504 ) is repealed. (b) Conforming amendment Section 401(e) of the Labor-Management Reporting and Disclosure Act of 1959 ( 29 U.S.C. 481(e) ) is amended by striking to section 504 and .
