R. 4469 IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES July 16, 2025 Ms. Titus introduced the following bill; which was referred to the Committee on Veterans' Affairs A BILL To amend title 38, United States Code, to prohibit the Secretary of Veterans Affairs from requiring evidence of a certain dose of radiation to determine that a veteran is a radiation-exposed veteran, and for other purposes. 1. Short title This Act may be cited as the Providing Radiation Exposed Servicemembers Undisputed Medical Eligibility Act or the PRESUME Act . 2. Prohibition of requirement of evidence of a certain dose of radiation to determine that a veteran is a radiation-exposed veteran Section 1112(c) of title 38, United States Code, is amended by adding at the end the following new paragraph: (5) The Secretary may not require evidence of a certain dose of radiation to determine that a veteran is a radiation-exposed veteran. .
