R. 4041 IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES June 17, 2025 Mr. McClintock introduced the following bill; which was referred to the Committee on Natural Resources A BILL To exempt certain forest management activities in Yosemite National Park from requirements of section 102 of the National Environmental Policy Act of 1969, and for other purposes. 1. Categorical exclusion for certain forest management activities in Yosemite National Park (a) Categorical exclusion established The forest management activities described in subsection (b) are a category of activities hereby designated as being categorically excluded from the preparation of an environmental assessment or an environmental impact statement under section 102 of the National Environmental Policy Act of 1969 ( 42 U.S.C. 4332 ). (b) Forest management activities designated for categorical exclusion The forest management activities designated under subsection (a) for a categorical exclusion are— (1) the planning, approval, and execution of fuels removal activities, including brush removal activities, in Yosemite National Park; and (2) the planning, approval, and execution of reforestation activities in Yosemite National Park.
