I 119th CONGRESS 1st Session H. R. 3949 IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES June 12, 2025 Mr. Burlison introduced the following bill; which was referred to the Committee on Homeland Security , and in addition to the Committee on Energy and Commerce , for a period to be subsequently determined by the Speaker, in each case for consideration of such provisions as fall within the jurisdiction of the committee concerned A BILL To direct the Secretary of Homeland Security to exempt from CFATS regulations certain propane tanks, and for other purposes. 1. Short title This Act may be cited as the Propane Accessibility and Regulatory Relief Act . 2. Exemption from CFATS regulations of certain propane tanks The Secretary of Homeland Security shall take such actions as may be necessary to exempt from any CFATS regulation (as such term is defined in section 2101 of the Homeland Security Act of 2002 ( 6 U.S.C. 621 )) any propane tank with a capacity of up to 126,000 pounds of propane.
