I 119th CONGRESS 1st Session H. R. 3326 IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES May 13, 2025 Ms. Ansari introduced the following bill; which was referred to the Committee on Foreign Affairs A BILL To prohibit the use of Federal funds to rename the Persian Gulf, and for other purposes. 1. Short title This Act may be cited as the Persian Gulf Act . 2. Prohibition on use of Federal funds to rename Persian Gulf (a) In general Notwithstanding any other provision of law, no Federal funds are authorized to be appropriated or otherwise made available to rename the Persian Gulf. (b) References No law, map, regulation, document, paper, or other record of the United States may refer to the Persian Gulf by a different name without express authorization of Congress.
