I 119th CONGRESS 1st Session H. R. 293 IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES January 9, 2025 Mr. Langworthy (for himself and Mr. Courtney ) introduced the following bill; which was referred to the Committee on Agriculture A BILL To expand the seniors farmers’ market program to include maple syrup. 1. Short title This Act may be cited as the Making Agricultural Products Locally Essential (MAPLE) Act . 2. Expansion of the seniors farmers’ market nutrition program Section 4402(b)(1) of the Farm Security and Rural Investment Act of 2002 ( 7 U.S.C. 3007(b)(1) ) is amended by striking and herbs and inserting herbs, and maple syrup .
