I 119th CONGRESS 1st Session H. R. 2857 IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES April 10, 2025 Mr. Khanna (for himself, Ms. Tlaib , and Ms. Lee of Pennsylvania ) introduced the following bill; which was referred to the Committee on Oversight and Government Reform A BILL To codify Executive Order 13989 (relating to ethics commitments by executive branch personnel). 1. Short title This Act may be cited as the Drain the Swamp Act . 2. Codification of Executive Order 13989 Executive Order 13989 (86 Fed. Reg. 7029; relating to ethics commitments by executive branch personnel) shall have the force and effect of law.
