Short title This Act may be cited as the Stop Chinese Communist Prying by Vindicating Intellectual Safeguards in Academia Act of 2025 or the Stop CCP VISAs Act of 2025 . 2. Prohibition on admission of Chinese nationals as nonimmigrant students Section 214 of the Immigration and Nationality Act ( 8 U.S.C. 1184 ) is amended by adding at the end the following: (s) Prohibition on admission of Chinese nationals as nonimmigrant students An alien who is a national of the People's Republic of China may not be issued a visa or otherwise provided status as a nonimmigrant under section 101(a)(15)(F), (J), or (M), for the purpose of conducting research or pursuing a course of study. .
