I 119th CONGRESS 1st Session H. R. 1089 IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES February 6, 2025 Mr. Ogles (for himself, Mrs. Luna , Mr. Roy , and Ms. Tenney ) introduced the following bill; which was referred to the Committee on Oversight and Government Reform , and in addition to the Committee on Rules , for a period to be subsequently determined by the Speaker, in each case for consideration of such provisions as fall within the jurisdiction of the committee concerned A BILL To repeal the District of Columbia Home Rule Act. 1. Short title This Act may be cited as the Bringing Oversight to Washington and Safety to Every Resident Act or the BOWSER Act . 2. Repeal of District of Columbia Home Rule Act Effective on the date that is 1 year after the date of enactment of this Act, the District of Columbia Home Rule Act ( Public Law 93–198 ; 87 Stat. 774) is repealed.
